It offers either straight collating (with offset stacking) or collating and stapling (with straight stacking), and it has an automatic self-setting detection system that stops processing when an incorrect set is fed or when the staple cartridge empties or the receiving tray is full. It has a 24 bin capability to collate up to a 96 page book. It can collate to a finished size of 8.5x11 or 5.5x8.5, folded and face trimmed.
